This is some of our first attempts at taking photos.  We are learning that we have to have the thing we are taking the photo of in the middle of the picture.  We also need to hold the camera very still.

Today we have been learning about photography.  We are getting ready to enter something in the media awards.  We have learnt about zooming in and out and about some different perspectives.  We used these ice cream pottle lids as frames to practice looking at what might be in the background and what we want up close.

Maori language week

Detectives!

We are learning to be reading detectives.  We look for clues in the story about the setting, the plot and the characters.  We have hats, detective badges, case files and magnifying glasses to help us.

We learnt about recycling with our special visitors

They gave us scratchy tickets to help us work out which things we should put in the recycle bin and which in the rubbish bin at home.
